Each square is selected with probability 1 in 25. The selected square is determined by public randomness (drand) after deploys close. Click squares to select them.

Claiming ETH is free. The wsNET you receive as reward (the 7% share) is unrefined: if you refine it, 10% goes to everyone who has not refined yet. If you leave it unrefined it keeps earning their fees, and what it earns is refined wsNET, which has no fee. Example: with 5 unrefined and 5 refined you pay 0.5 on the unrefined and take home 9.5. The fee never applies to ETH or to the Payload. Rewards from many rounds can be claimed in one transaction.

Rounds with no deposit are never resolved and do not appear. If nobody deployed on the selected square, the reward carries to the next round whose selected square has participants.

88% ETH reward
7%
  • 88% comes back in ETH to everyone who deployed on the selected square, in proportion to their deployed amount on it.
  • 7% is paid in wsNET to the same people.
  • 1% is paid in wsNET to TEN holders.
  • 2% goes into the Payload, in ETH. Every round with a reward it has a 1 in 625 probability to hit and is added to that round's ETH reward (a hit pays at most 25 times that round's deployed total; the rest stays for the next hit).
  • 1% goes to the TEN buyback: it is sent in ETH to the buyback wallet, which buys TEN for the TEN Permanent Reserve.
  • 1% is the operations fee: it pays whoever resolves the round (a small tip, at most 0.00003 ETH) and the rest goes to the operations wallet.

The 8% paid in wsNET (7% as reward to participants, 1% to TEN holders) starts as ETH set aside in the contract. About every 15 minutes anyone can trigger its swap into wsNET. If the swap cannot be done for a long time (for example the wsNET pool is down or its price keeps moving too much), the participants do not wait forever: after three days their 7% is paid to them in ETH instead.

TenBlocks has an owner (a multisig wallet). The owner can change some settings, such as the Payload probability or the percentages, but only inside fixed limits written in the contract. Every change is public 24 hours before it applies and never touches a round that has already started. The owner cannot move participants' ETH, pause TenBlocks or change how the selected square is determined. If a round cannot be resolved for 24 hours, everyone can take back their own ETH. The owner can also give up the role for good.

Calculator

Model: covering every square evenly returns about 97% of what you deploy (88% ETH, 7% wsNET, about 2% from the Payload on average, paid in ETH). After conversion costs that is about 96.93% if you leave wsNET unclaimed and about 96.23% if you claim it at once. The Payload part is paid rarely and in large pieces. Expected values, not a promise.

Honest risks
  • This involves real money. On average participants receive back about 97% of what they deploy, so the expected result is a loss of about 3%. There is no token reward for participating.
  • The contracts are new and have not been audited by a third party. A bug could lose funds.
  • 3% of every deploy (1% TEN holders, 1% TEN buyback, 1% operations) does not come back to participants.
  • The contract code cannot be changed. In an emergency new deploys can be paused (by the owner for up to 7 days, by the guardian for up to 24 hours), but resolving rounds, claiming, refunds and withdrawals are never blocked. The owner can also change settings (percentages, Payload probability, limits) inside fixed bounds with 24 hours' notice. You trust the owner not to use them against participants; the bounds limit what is possible.
  • Randomness comes from drand. If it stops, rounds cannot resolve and participants take their ETH back after 24 hours.
  • The conversion to wsNET depends on thin pools and on USDG and WETH. If it fails, rewards are delayed or paid in ETH.
